Those stitch markers are so cute!
Posted by Alyx at August 15, 2005 08:18 PMGawd I just love that sock!!! LOL at your mosquito comment. I just don't even go outside anymore. Damn them.
Posted by Pamelalala at August 16, 2005 08:18 AMYou crack me up!
The sock looks great! (I have Matty's 1st sock to show off, too.) And the stitch markers are super. But that dishcloth... Ha! (?)
So all this rain which is great for the lawn and the house, is probably crack for the mosquitos, eh? How bad do you hate those citrenela candels?
Posted by Nancy Collins at August 16, 2005 08:42 AMLove those kitty heads! And the sock does look like it's for bigfoot...lol
Sorry about your plague of mosquitos. I've had my share of bites this summer, even though I haven't actually been outside OR seen a bug. *shrug*
Posted by Kathy at August 16, 2005 09:57 AMthat is the prettiest sock in all of the land-i can so see curling up next to a fire and getting all cozy in those socks
Posted by aubyn at August 16, 2005 10:22 AMThe sock is gorgeous! Try taking baths in Avon's Skin-So-Soft oil. Rumor has it that skeeters hate it. In fact Avon even made a skeeter spray with it, but I hate skeeter spray - it stinks and I'd rather have the bites.
Posted by Julia at August 16, 2005 11:55 AMI LOVE THE KITTY HEADS! The sock is SA-WEET! I want to do a cabley-goodness one... was it hard?
Posted by Petra at August 16, 2005 12:37 PMI love the stitch markers!
I had trouble with mosquitoes last summer and couldn't figure out where they were breeding. It turned out that some rainwater had gotten into my (drained and unused) hot tub. I got rid of that thing this summer, so I'm having much less trouble. You have my sympathies!
Posted by Erica at August 17, 2005 01:31 AMI just found your site a couple of days ago when doing a search for Shabby Sheep. I was really excited to find another blogger who knits and is in Dallas! Now, of course, I'm going to have to go through all your past posts to find what other helpful knitting tricks and tips you have up your sleeve.
Wonderful knitting, by the way...
Posted by tortoiseshelly at August 17, 2005 11:29 AMGreat looking sock! lovely color. Your stitch markers are awesome. I love the little kitty heads. Too cute.
Posted by eyeleen at August 18, 2005 11:07 PMI adore the stitch markers! The proportion is just right, not too small, not too big, and not too long and dangly. Perfect!
Posted by Beth at August 22, 2005 03:47 PMThe Sockapaltwoza cabled sock looks terrific. You've got a lucky recipient. Isn't it funny how stretched out and long the foot part of handknit socks look sometimes? Also love the stitch markers--the kitty ones are a riot.
