Remember Y*RN and D*ET are 4-letter words :-)
Be strong you can do it :-)
Posted by Bot-Gurl at August 2, 2005 08:39 PMI agree--I can't stand summer weather, either, and am forever grateful to whomever invented air conditioning!
Posted by Deb at August 2, 2005 09:08 PMI LIVE for the summer! I LOVE the summer! BRING on the HEAT baby! Okay, did that irritate you so much that you just wanna smack me?
HEE!
Even though you hate the heat, I am glad you are here and not there!
New Mexico nearly drove me insane with the constant sunshine. Anytime there was an overcast day ALL day I nearly went manic with happiness.
Just remember, without the sticky hot humid days of a Texas summer you wouldn't be able to enjoy your "winter".
Posted by meg at August 3, 2005 10:22 AMMy supervisor just recently moved to Central Texas (College Station)after living in the D/FW Metroplex most of her life. She's not sure what to think. We have big white fluffy clouds all the time. We also have a lot more humidity than she is used to. Gotta love a Texas summer. *Melts away*
Have a great day!
Posted by Stalker Angie at August 3, 2005 10:40 AMI'm with you, I hate the heat!
Posted by Pamelalala at August 3, 2005 12:04 PMI'm glad you got hooked up to the internets at home. I'm sorry you hate the summer - I love it - and can't take the cold at all. That's why I can knit wool and alpaca all summer long. The AC is too much for me, but I live with a former east-coaster, so I sacrifice. We're coming to Dallas for a concert in September, perhaps you'll be ready to buy some yarn then. I need an accomplice. My aunt told me about all the hoopla over the IKEA opening. I love it, but wouldn't be there this weekend for anything. Have fun!
Posted by Julia at August 3, 2005 02:51 PMOh thank you Dr for the diagnosis I have been waiting for. You have hit the nail on the head. It's the same way I feel about the current temps. Yuck, give me Fall! Fall and Winter, where I can wear wool socks, mittens, sweaters, etc. But just don't give me snow.
