Gratuitous cat photo . . .
. . . you know what that means: no knitting photos!
There has been knitting, and some other stuff too, but I can't find the card reader for my camera card.
So, here's what you get!
If y'all only knew what I went through to get this one cranky kitty photo . . . Mardi doesn't like the camera, so I basically had to chase her around (unsuccessfully) and then hide and wait to get this one.
Whoever coined the word "Tortitude" for the manner in which tortoiseshell cats conduct themselves is a GENIUS!

Dear Ford Expedition who (unintentionally?) tried to run me off the road . . .
Please stay in your own damn lane while driving next to me.
I know it's raining, and that the street we were on doesn't have those little bumpy things to alert you when you are drifting into the next lane (while you are trying to text message, no doubt), but seriously, if you can't keep your giant vehicle between the little white dashed lines (which are there for a reason), then you have no business driving such a behemoth.
I bet you're going to go park in a "compact car only" spot now, right?

First FO of the year!
So, I actually finished these yesterday . . . but it would be uncharacteristic of me to not be a day late and a dollar short!
Socks!
The details:
Pattern: River Rapids Socks by Sockbug
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino in "Brights"
Needles: Addi Turbo US1 circular
Petra actually made the first sock of this pair for a small local Socktoberfest swap back in, oh, 2007 2006 (you're right, P-La, it WAS 2006!)? Yeah, then. So it's kind of a cheat FO, since I only had to make one sock. Anyway, I finally did it, and this pattern is FUN!
Also, I'm pretty sure my gauge was a bit different from hers . . . see how the pattern is striping just a little bit differently?
Yep, that's right, I didn't knit a gauge before I started. I'm rebellious like that. Or lazy. Or something.
Speaking of lazy, these were almost my last FO of 2007 instead of the first one of 2008 . . . I started the toe decreases in the afternoon of new year's eve, and I intended to be grafting the toe before midnight. Instead, I was playing a rousing game of Guitar Hero III . . .
